It seems like there are liquids separating from the meat. Is this normal?

While this may look a little odd, rest assured – all of the yummy goodness is still 100% nutritious to your cat! Our formula is high in its moisture content to provide your cat with hydration and we also use salmon oil to help meet some of your cat’s requirements for essential nutrients. However, oils and water have a hard time mixing and sometimes separation can happen, especially when temperature fluctuates during shipping or storage. We recommend shaking the carton well before opening to help with some of that separation.
