Is this affected by Mold?

  • As long as you regularly scoop the litter, it should stay free of mold. Our litter has been tested by an independent laboratory to make sure it does not contain any dangerous levels of bacteria or mold. However, any type of plant-based litter can develop mold if it is not scooped frequently or kept in a wet environment.

The frequency of changing the cat litter will vary depending on the number of cats and litter boxes you have. We suggest replacing the entire litter once a month, which includes discarding the old litter, cleaning the litter box, and refilling it with a new bag. People living in hot and humid climates or those who have cats with health conditions causing increased urination may need to replace the litter more frequently.
